Mary Kiser grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia but now calls Los Angeles home, where she is a Senior Vice President at Bank of America. During a hiatus from banking, she began writing a journal from her dog Mac’s point of view. The book lay unfinished until she was compelled to keep a deathbed promise to her 13-year-old yellow lab to complete their story.

When not working or writing, Mary loves hiking and spending time with friends in the southern California sunshine.

Mac was born in North Hollywood, the biggest of six in the litter. Although his mother, Lady Brittney VI, was American Kennel Club royalty, his first“leashers” and namesake, the McArthurs, lived in a modest home on a tree-lined. Mac had a brief career as a print model and background actor but gave it up to be close to Mary, his true leading lady and the love of his life.
